THE LOCAL AREA
Hawkhurst, the 'crossroads' of the Weald, is a well-connected and attractive village, known for its distinctive white colonnade of independent shops, historic buildings and the Kino, a boutique cinema.
There are several places to eat within walking distance of the B&B including Water Lane Walled Garden (reopening 1/7/21).
From hip Hastings to trendy Tunbridge Wells, there are plenty of towns and villages to explore across the Weald.
We are ideally located for visiting Tenterden and Rye, two of the most popular destinations in Kent, both less than 20 minutes away.
There's no shortage of impressive castles, stately homes and stunning gardens to visit, all within a few miles.
From the battlements of Bodiam Castle to the stunning floral displays at Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, there's something for visitors of every age.
The Weald has many outdoor activities, attracting walkers, cyclists and bird watchers, to name but a few.
If you're looking for more adrenaline filled adventure, there's Go Ape plus other outdoor pursuits nearby...or just have a quiet day on the sands at Camber!
